Craft Beer
At the E Squared Cafe you will find a wide variety of craft beer. Here are a couple of our favorites:
Summit IPA: First brewed with an extra dose of hops to help it survive the long journey from England to beer lovers in India. India Pale Ale is now brewed just for the pleasure of its distinctive hoppy flavor.
Rogue- Dead Guy Ale: In the style of a German Maibock, using our proprietary Pacman ale yeast. Deep honey in color with a malty aroma and a rich hearty flavor.
Fat Tire: Named in honor of our founder Jeff's bike trip through Belgium, Fat Tire Amber Ale marks a turning point in the young electrical engineer's home brewing. Belgian beers use a far broader palette of ingredients (fruits, spices, esoteric yeast strains) than German or English styles. Jeff found the Belgian approach freeing. Upon his return, Jeff created Fat Tire and Abbey Belgian Ale, (assuming Abbey would be his big gun). He and his wife, Kim traveled around sampling their homebrews to the public. Fat Tire's appeal quickly became evident. People liked everything about it. Except the name. Fat Tire won fans is in its sense of balance: toasty, biscuit-like malt flavors coasting in equilibrium with hoppy freshness.
Red Hook ESB: Styled after the "Extra Special Bitters" found in English pubs, its rich, unique balance of flavors and unforgettable copper color make for a truly rich and distinctive experience.
Two Hearted Ale: India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma. This one really does kick butt.
Grain Belt Premium: We know.. we know... not quite a craft beer. But come on. It's a Minnesota legend and legends aren’t just born, they’re brewed. And no beer in the Midwest has a grander brewing tradition than Grain Belt. For over 100 years, Grain Belt has been the beer that fathers have passed on to sons and friends have passed amongst each other at local bars and watering holes. It is a beer with tradition that spans generations. Which is why it has become legendary–both here and across the country.
